The TECHMAN-HEAD Group is a leading industrial group specializing in aircraft maintenance tooling, Ground Support Equipment (GSE), and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) services. Established in 2008, the group comprises five subsidiaries, employs approximately 100 staff, and generates an annual turnover exceeding 23 million euros.

Its global operations span over 100 countries, serving a diverse clientele of more than 500 aviation sector customers. These include key segments such as defense, airframe and engine Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), airlines, and maintenance organizations.

Group History and Structure

As a family-owned and managed group, TECHMAN-HEAD has consolidated industry expertise through strategic acquisitions. Its portfolio includes TMH-ams, with over 75 years of experience in hydraulic testing; TMH-tools, authorized by Boeing and Collins Aerospace; TMH-cemep, specializing in precision manufacturing; TMH-concept, focused on special equipment design; and TMH-novatec, expert in special processes and component MRO. Led by President Jean-Yves TABONI and CEO Philippe JEHANNO, the group is supported by professional sales and operations teams. A global agency network across all continents ensures localized support.

Core Business & Capabilities
The group provides a full spectrum of products and services for aircraft ground maintenance operations:

  • Hydraulic & Fuel Test Systems: Mobile and stationary hydraulic test benches for civil, military, and helicopter applications, certified by Airbus and Boeing.

  • Ground Support Equipment (GSE) & Tooling: Design and manufacture of various GSE aligned with ATA chapters, including landing gear tools, towing equipment, servicing vehicles, power units, and engine maintenance tools.

  • Precision Machining & Component Manufacturing: CNC machining, mechanical integration, and custom manufacturing of aerostructures and assemblies.

  • Special Equipment & Industrial Projects: Turnkey engineering services for dedicated machinery and aeronautical tooling, from 3D design to on-site commissioning.

  • Component MRO & Special Processes: NADCAP-accredited processes including Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI), shot peening, laser operations, coating, cleaning, and X-ray inspection.

Certifications & Partnerships
The group holds manufacturing and maintenance licenses for Boeing tooling across all commercial aircraft programs. It is also an authorized manufacturer for Collins Aerospace (formerly UTC Goodrich) actuation system tools and maintains long-term partnerships of over 30 years with Airbus and ATR.
